Welcome to the Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Pain and Ultrasound—a premier, multidisciplinary training program designed for a broad spectrum of healthcare professionals, including anaesthesiologist, pain medicine physicians, orthopaedic surgeons, rheumatologists, radiologists and physiatrist. This fellowship provides an in‐depth curriculum that combines advanced theoretical instruction with extensive training in ultrasound-guided diagnostic and interventional techniques. Participants will develop expertise in evaluating and managing a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, employing the latest evidence-based protocols to enhance patient outcomes. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be MD/Diploma/Fellowship in one of the following fields: Anaesthesia,Pain Medicine, Orthopaedics, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physiatrist), Rheumatology, or Radiology. This program is designed for healthcare professionals with a strong foundation in musculoskeletal medicine and pain management, ensuring that participants are well-prepared for advanced training in ultrasound-guided diagnostics and interventional techniques
Course Structure:
- Mode of Delivery: Online through Zoom App
- Duration: 13 weeks (once in a week: lecture and live demonstration through zoom app with picture in picture mode)
- No. of day & hours of classes: 1.5-2hrs hours/week
- Weekdays: Every Wednesday

Course Objectives:
- Understand the fundamentals of ultrasound technology and its application in musculoskeletal imaging.
- Identify and describe the anatomy of major muscles, tendons, ligaments, and bones in the musculoskeletal system.
- Develop proficiency in the use of ultrasound equipment for musculoskeletal imaging.
- Recognize common pathologies and abnormalities in musculoskeletal structures through ultrasound images.
Assessment Measures:
- Participants will be evaluated using a combination of interactive methods to ensure comprehensive understanding and practical application of the material. These include:
- Discussion Quiz via an App: Engage in dynamic, real-time quizzes to reinforce key concepts and assess knowledge retention in an interactive, competitive format.
- Interactive Session: Participate in dedicated sessions designed for collaborative discussions, case studies, and problem-solving exercises to further deepen your learning and application of ultrasound-guided techniques in musculoskeletal pain management.
- Together, these assessment measures foster an engaging learning environment and provide ongoing feedback on your progress throughout the fellowship.
Outcome:
Upon completion, participants will have demonstrated advanced proficiency in musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging and interventional pain management techniques. Fellows will be able to accurately diagnose and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions using evidence-based strategies, perform ultrasound-guided procedures with confidence, and integrate imaging findings into effective treatment plans.
