Masterclass on Point-of-Care Ultrasound Musculoskeletal (POCUS-MSK) Fundamentals

Masterclass on Point-of-Care Ultrasound Musculoskeletal (POCUS-MSK) Fundamentals

An initiative by Aadhya Pain Management Centre to spread awareness about POCUS (MSK) .This initiative will provide a comprehensive learning opportunity for those interested in enhancing their skills in this field. This one day program runs from 9AM to 5PM,focusing mainly on POCUS Musculoskeletal Fundamentals with an addition demonstration of the nerves around elbow and the ankle joint.

Course Director: Dr. Kanchan Sharma, MD,POCUS(MSK),RMSK(APCA-USA)
POCUS Education Provider (PCA-APCA-USA),

Venue: Different parts of India. Kindly refer to the flyer for specific venues and dates.

Prerequisites: • Master’s or Diploma in Anaesthesia or Pain Medicine • Suitable for Fellows or Consultants

Learning Objectives This masterclass is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) fundamentals, specifically focusing on the peripheral nerves around the elbow and ankle.

The learning objectives will be achieved through a structured and interactive session: 1. Powerful Point Demonstration: • Basics of ultrasound physics, knobology, tissue echotexture, and artifacts. • Detailed anatomy of the peripheral nerves at the elbow and ankle joints.
2. Faculty Demonstration: • Expert faculty will demonstrate ultrasound techniques and nerve identification.
3. Hands-On Practice: • Participants will practice the demonstrated techniques on volunteers under faculty supervision.

At the end of the session, participants’ knowledge will be assessed through a Q&A segment to ensure comprehension and retention of the material.
By the end of this masterclass on Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) fundamentals, with a focus on the nerves around the elbow and ankle, participants will be able to:
1. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of POCUS principles and techniques.
2. Accurately identify and assess the key nerves in the elbow and ankle regions.
3. Utilize ultrasound to diagnose nerve-related conditions in these areas.
4. Apply their skills to improve patient outcomes through enhanced diagnostic precision and timely intervention.

Registration: Registration is limited to 30-40 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. To maintain quality, no further registrations will be entertained after slots are filled. Registration : Please contact the number mentioned in the flyers for further information.
